The Challenge and Activity Badges are only worn on the uniform of the section they were awarded in and are not carried over onto the new shirt / sweatshirt when changing section.
Joining In / Participation Awards
Worn on left breast of shirt / sweatshirt above the Membership Badge. These are awarded annually for each year of membership of the movement; the new badge is added next the previous one. The highest badge is carried over to the new uniform when changing section.
Moving On Award
Worn on left breast of shirt / sweatshirt above the Membership Badge. There are Moving On Awards from Beavers to Cubs, Cubs to Scouts, Scouts to Explorers, and Explorers to Network.
The staged activity badges for Emergency Aid, Hikes Away, Information Technology, Musician, Nights Away and Swimmer are used by the Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer sections. They are carried over onto the new uniform when changing sections.
The Bronze Chief Scout's Award is the highest award in the Beaver Section, and is transferred onto the Cub uniform when changing section.
The Silver Chief Scout's Award is the highest award in the Cub Section, and is transferred onto the Scout uniform when changing section.
The Gold Chief Scout's Award is the highest award in the Scout Section, and is transferred onto the Explorer uniform when changing section.
