A successful afternoon of fun and activity took place on 18th September 2010 to celebrate 100 years of Scouting in Darlington.

We were joined by Darlington MP Jenny Chapman for the opening ceremony, and she joined the young people in launching 100 balloons.

Following the formal part of the afternoon, people were free to take part in a range of activities around the grounds, with very much the feel of a village fete.

Later in the afternoon the DC, Gary Micklethwaite, cut a centenary cake.
