Cubs & Scouts Try Fencing

This week, the Cubs and Scouts of 18th Darlington Scout Group took a bold step into something a little different — fencing!

With masks on and foils in hand, our young adventurers learned the basics of footwork, stance, and striking. For many, it was their very first time holding a sword (a safe, training one of course!) — and they absolutely loved it.

The session was packed with energy, laughter, and a spirit of friendly competition. Not only did they build confidence and coordination, but they also experienced a sport that’s both historic and exciting.

⚔️ A huge well done to everyone who took part — you showed fantastic focus, respect, and sportsmanship throughout.

Here’s to more new experiences and challenges ahead
