Squirrels & Beavers Weekend Adventure at The Cabin
What a fantastic weekend it was for our Squirrels and Beavers at The Cabin – full of fun, friendship, and fresh air!
Saturday Highlights
The mostly dry weather made for a jam-packed day of adventure:
• Kayaking at the TCR Hub – our young explorers took to the water with courage and smiles!
• Scout Skills – learning how to pitch tents and fetch water like seasoned Scouts
• Hiking, playing, and laughter galore – right up until lights out at 10 PM
As night fell, rain began to patter on the tents—but even that couldn’t drown out the gentle rumble of snoring from the leaders’ tents!
Sunday Fun
The day began with a hearty breakfast, and the young people took charge of washing up and packing their gear—showing great responsibility. Then it was on to more fun:
• Den building in the woods – little adventurers creating big memories
• DIY lunch – making their own sandwiches
• Nature walk and art – collecting natural treasures and creating beautiful masterpieces along the way
Not even the rain could dampen the joy—smiles stayed bright and energy stayed high all weekend long!
