7th & 18th Darlington Cubs Joint Camp – Great Tower Scout Adventures, Lake Windermere
What a weekend to remember! Cubs from the 7th and 18th Darlington packs came together for an unforgettable joint camp at the stunning Great Tower Scout Adventures site on the shores of Lake Windermere.
With 50 Cubs and leaders in attendance, the camp was packed with adventure, laughter, and memory-making. From the moment they arrived, the Cubs threw themselves into a wide range of exciting activities that challenged their teamwork, resilience, and sense of fun.
Highlights included:
- Raft building on the lake, where Cubs worked together to construct and test their floating creations.
- Campfire cooking, where delicious meals were prepared and enjoyed under the open sky.
- Climbing and hiking, offering breathtaking views and a real sense of achievement.
- Evening campfires, filled with songs, stories, and the kind of camaraderie that only Scouting can bring.
The spirit of adventure was alive in every moment, and it was clear that everyone – Cubs and leaders alike – had an amazing time. The camp not only strengthened friendships but also created new ones, leaving everyone with memories that will last a lifetime.
A huge thank you to all the volunteers and leaders
