A Weekend of Adventure, Cake, and New Friendships
This weekend, 21 Darlington Explorer Scouts from Elm Ridge ESU, Harrowgate Hill ESU, and MSG ESU came together for an unforgettable adventure at Kettleness. From the moment we arrived, the energy was high and the smiles were constant.
The Explorers spent the weekend getting to know each other and taking on the coastline together, navigating their way to Whitby — with a very important detour into the sweet shops, of course! After all that walking, there was no shortage of well-deserved cake and custard, consumed in true Explorer style.
One of the weekend’s highlights was trying out Swedish fire logs (big thanks to Will for bringing the fun!). And with a little gentle encouragement, everyone worked on one of the most essential #SkillsForLife… making the Leaders’ cuppa! A vital talent indeed.
A huge thank you to Will, Tia, Tom, Georgia, and Ben for all their help, enthusiasm, and fantastic company throughout the trip.
We’re already looking forward to the next adventure — if it’s anything like this one, we’re in for a treat!
