Redcar Beach BBQ Adventure!
Last night, on a glorious summer evening, Elm Ridge Explorer Scout Unit were joined by Harrogate Hill Explorer Scouts for our annual trip to Redcar beach and beach BBQ.
There were burnt burgers, singed sausages, sandcastles galore, and plenty of laughter from both young people and Leaders alike! From racing up and down the dunes to getting sandy feet and full bellies, it was an evening to remember.
For a couple of our Explorers, it was their first ever time cooking their own food on a BBQ — and seeing them proudly walk away with a perfectly grilled burger was a brilliant moment.
We ended the evening with a stunning sunset over the sea — the perfect finish to a fantastic night.
