Explorers Take on Tynemouth Scouts’ Monopoly Run
Rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the daring dozen from Elm Ridge ESU, who set off at 8:30am from Darlington to take part in Tynemouth Scouts’ very first Monopoly Run.
Competing in teams of four, the Explorers raced against the clock, other teams, and the unpredictable weather, aiming to score as many points as possible. The challenge took them across Tyneside, navigating the Metro network and putting their teamwork (and waterproofs!) to the test.
Along the way, many Greggs branches were passed — and a few treats enjoyed — as the teams shared laughs and covered plenty of miles. Despite the soggy conditions, everyone had a fantastic day, and it’s already firmly marked in the calendar for next year!
