18th Darlington Scout Group Celebrates First Birthday of New Scout Building!
Over the weekend, the 18th Darlington Scout Group in Middleton St George marked a special milestone — the first anniversary of our new Scout building!
We celebrated in style with a fun-filled day featuring a bouncy castle, archery, face painting, a petting zoo, an ice cream van, and classic games like tug of war — all topped off with a delicious birthday cake!
Special guests included John Moore, Chaplain for Durham Scouts, who led a flag blessing ceremony, and our local MP, Matt Vickers, who joined in the festivities. We were also proud to invest a new Scout and two Cubs during the event — a wonderful reminder of what Scouting is all about.
The event was a great success, with lots of positive feedback and smiling faces all around. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable day!
