Its been a long time coming but the 18th Darlington Scout Group (Middleton St George) finally have somewhere they can call home.
Their new purpose built Scout Hut had its GRAND OPENING at the weekend, Sue Snowden (Lord Lieutenant of Durham) cut the ribbon as part of the proceedings. The Deputy Mayor and his Wife along with other dignitary’s attended the day.
The members of the 18th Darlington Scout Group had been fundraising for many years whilst the Scouting Section set up home in many different locations over the years.
