Twelve Scouts from the 7th, 11th, 18th, and 19th Darlington Scout Groups recently took on an impressive expedition challenge — hiking all the way from Darlington to Barnard Castle and back again.

The expedition was supported by enthusiastic Young Leaders from Elm Ridge and Eastbourne ESU, who provided guidance and encouragement throughout the journey.

Thankfully, the weather was on our side , and spirits were high as Scouts navigated using their maps, cooked their own meals, and put their outdoor skills to the test. It was fantastic to see Scouts from different groups working together, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another every step of the way.

As always, there was plenty of learning, laughter, and teamwork — and maybe a few things got a little crispy around the campfire!

Well done to everyone who took part — an excellent achievement and a great example of Scouting adventure in action.
