A week on from this year’s Darlington Scout Challenge Hike, we can reveal a new holder of the Challenge Hike Trophy!
Scouts from the 9th, 11th, 12th, 19th and 27th Darlington Scout Groups took part in this year’s competition, with teams setting off from Haughton, Darlington, before making their way to the finish at Middleton St George.
The 6km route put the Scouts through their paces with a range of challenges, including:
- Memory Challenges
- Code Cracking
- Pioneering
- Map Reading & Navigation Skills
With six teams competing for the trophy, there could only be one winner…
Congratulations to the 19th Darlington Scout Troop, who came out as this year’s well-deserved winners!
A fantastic effort from everyone who took part, demonstrating teamwork, determination, problem-solving and some great Scouting skills along the way.
